A Wild Week in the NFC West

A Wild Week in the NFC West

Los Angeles Rams

After weeks of insisting “we would change our receivers before we bench our quarterback” Jeff Fisher has finally benched his quarterback. The number 1 pick from the 2016 NFL Draft will be the 6th rookie quarterback to start a game in the league this season. Goff’s first game against the Miami Dolphins has been flexed by Sky TV to show live rather than the Play off chasing Eagles vs Seahawks match up. Move over Carson Wentz, there’s a new rookie in town.

Arizona Cardinals

Still no love from those at NFLUK for St Albans born Josh Mauro. This past weekend the Arizona Cardinals outlasted a spritely San Francisco 49ers where Mauro registered three tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss. He has been playing well this year but is playing second fiddle in the UK to London’s Jay (Train) Ajayi who has brought the Dolphins offence back to relevancy.

Seattle Seahawks

The big news this week following the Seahawk exciting goal line stand win against the New England Patriots is the release of running back Christine Michael. The second round pick had been release before by the Seahawks but this season found himself top of the depth chart as a result of injury to last year’s rookie sensation Thomas Rawls.

The Seahawks seem confident that Rawls can return to fitness and form a partnership with this year’s rookie running back star CJ Prosise.

Christine Michael has since been picked up by the Green Bay Packers to assist the ailing team in their search to fill injured Eddie Lacy’s generous girdle.

In other news College Basketballer is the latest rookie in the NFC West to be confirm first choice starter at left tackle for the Seahawks, with a fit again Bradley Sowell now competing with Garry Gilliam for the right tackle spot.

San Francisco 49ers

Scandal has hit NFLGirlUK this week as Editor Liz Fox went up against Sky Sports own Richard Graves in week 11’s game picks. Liz defied conventional logic and picked the San Francisco 49ers to make the most of a missing Gronk and defeat the New England Patriots.

As you can imagine twitter is awash with people calling the pick daft but come on now people, what Seahawk fan CHOOSES to pick any game in favour of The Patriots? Puncture those negative thoughts, 49ers could yet capitalise on a team suffering a deflating loss to the Seahawks last week.

Sky Sports week 11 picks featuring our very own Liz Fox can been seen here,
