L.A. Rams move on from Jeff Fisher

In a move everyone expected the Los Angeles Rams have moved on from coach Jeff Fisher, meaning number 1 pick Jared Goff will need to get to know a new coach and Fisher will remain joint top of the list of most losing coaches in NFL History, ironic that in the end he could not even win that honour.

The season started with one of the more lackluster series of Hard Knocks which many – including myself – couldn’t bring themselves to finish. New quarterback Jared Goff was on the bench watching 5 other rookie quarterbacks play this season and all with varying degrees of success as his new team struggled to look like a 7 and 9 team.

There was of course the team’s first win back in L.A. to look back on with pride – the annual mauling of Russell Wilson’s offensive line for a 9-3 victory. More incredibly the Seahawks offensive line coach Tom Cable is one of the names linked with the permanent job.

Also in the running could be former 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh, New England Offensive guru Josh McDaniels and Lions defensive coach Teryl Austin in what could be his 3000th head coach interview in the last 4 years.

I would speculate that the Rams will be looking for an offensive minded coach to help Jared Goff in his development and leave the defence in the more than capable hands of Gregg Williams.

Change is in store for the Rams for the second year in a row.
