Colossus Bets syndicate for NFL week nine

PIT Steelers (7-12) @ BAL Ravens (7-12)

This will be close but unlike the classic defensive battles of ten years ago this one could turn into a shootout unless the Ravens can rediscover some of their shutdown defense. The Steelers look like the Steelers again and this likely to be the beginning of the battle for the top spot in the AFC North. Could go either way but likely to be won by a touchdown.

TB Buccaneers @ CAR Panthers (7-12, 13-18)

Fitzmagic is back and the Panthers look like genuine Super Bowl contenders. The Bucs defense is porous and should provide Newton with another nice day. You never know what you’re going to get from Fitzpatrick but it could be a bunch of turnovers which the Panthers will capitalise on.

ATL Falcons (1-6) @ WAS Redskins (1-6)

One of the worst defenses in the league and one of the best defenses in the league against one high powered offense and a once conservative one. The styles of play should force a close game that could go either way. If Washington win this then they become strong favourites for the NFC East. The Falcons are just desperate to hold on to the coat tails of the Saints and Panthers.

LA Chargers (7-12) @ SEA Seahawks (1-6)

Seahawks have run the ball well in recent weeks while Russell Wilson is playing himself into MVP talk again. The Chargers will seriously challenge this young defense that has been getting plaudits. This could go either way, Seahawks might take it if it’s close in the 4th.

LA Rams (1-6) @ NO Saints (1-6, 7-12)

The third tough game for the Saints in a row and a chance for them to put down a marker as the NFL’s best if they can beat the undefeated Rams. Expect a track meet affair in the dome although both team’s defenses will be expected to come up with a big play or two to help tip the balance. This might come down to whoever has the ball last.

GB Packers (1-6, 7-12) @ NE Patriots

The Patriots offense spluttered against the Bills defense and their lack of running game is causing some concern. The Packers defense had the Rams confused for long stretches last week but may miss the traded Ha Ha Clinton-Dix with Edelman unplayable at times on Monday Night. Probably a high scoring affair but Rodgers maybe lacks the weapons and offensive coaching to overcome the Pats.

TEN Titans @ DAL Cowboys (13-18)

The Titans coming off their bye week after a good showing in London face a Cowboys coming off their bye week in which they’ll have been stewing over their loss to Washington. The Cowboys have looked a far better team at home this year and despite some flashes of the Titans offense at Wembley it’ll have a tough time keeping in this game. Cowboys should win this comfortably.
