New ‘Hard Knocks’ TV series to follow training camp with the Los Angeles Rams

Hard-Knocks-LARamsLast year was the first time I had watched the Hard Knocks season and I absolutely loved watching it. It gave me an insight in to Houston Texans and a new love for what happens outside of the game we see on TV.

This time around, the series will join Los Angeles Rams as they return to LA for the first time in 22 years in an all-access look at their training camp and what it takes to make it in the NFL. The cameras are already rolling and is set to document the return on Rams’ exciting homecoming. It will debut exclusively on HBO on Tuesday 9 August – if us UK viewers are lucky, Sky Sports may look to run it as a series of one-hour episodes for us!

If you’re new to the series it follows the daily lives and routines of players and coaches. Each week, players will experience drills, instruction, meetings and fun, while striving to prove they have what it takes to make the team and leave their mark on the NFL. For those of you who have already seen it, you’ll know what you’re getting in to. I personally can’t wait, I love the show, it’s very insightful and it helps you understand player characters off-field. Last season for me the highlight was seeing just how dedicated a player JJ Watt is, the man is incredible.

“This is an exciting time for our franchise,” says Rams head coach Jeff Fisher. “HARD KNOCKS will be an outstanding way to bring our fans into our training camp and preseason, and give a glimpse of the hard work and dedication of our players, coaches and staff as we prepare for the 2016 season.”

As I say, the show will start in America on HBO from 9 August – I don’t yet know when it will air in the UK so as soon as I do, I’ll let you all know.
