NFL announces teams for 2024 International Games in London and Munich

The National Football League (NFL) has today revealed the home team line-up for its 2024 International Games, which includes matches to be played in London and Munich. The games are part of the NFL’s broader strategy to expand its global reach. In particular the teams participating are part of the NFL’s Global Markets Program which is aimed at growing the sport’s fandom and commercial opportunities outside the United States.

In London, the NFL has scheduled games at two iconic stadiums. The Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings are set to play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, renowned for being purpose-built to accommodate NFL games. The Jacksonville Jaguars will return to Wembley Stadium, continuing their multi-year commitment to playing in the UK. This game at Wembley will be the Jaguars’ 12th in London, solidifying their presence in the UK market.

Munich, Germany, will host the Carolina Panthers at the Allianz Arena, home of FC Bayern Munich. This follows the successful 2022 game held in Munich, the first regular-season NFL game ever played in the country.

While the specific opponents, dates, and kick-off times for these games will be announced with the full 2024 NFL schedule this spring, the excitement is already building among fans. I for one am excited in hope of seeing Kirk Cousins in real life…! Praying of course he doesn’t retire, get traded, or cut in the upcoming off season.
